Training types

Slalom

A dribbling exercise utilizing CogniCone beacons. The actual colour distribution of beacons how the direction the player should exit the slalom. Players must continuously watch the CogniCone beacons during the exercise.

Center

This exercise simulates center and attacking midfielder cooperation. Players perform a passing game till the given beacon - placed behind the center player - lights up. Then, the center player can play the ball through the gate denoted by another beacon - in close cooperation with the midfielder – and score a goal afterwards.

Four goals

This is an exercise for small groups, where formations of 3:1, 4:1, 4:2 etc… play ball a possession game. 4 small goals are placed in the 4 corners of the pitch. CogniCone beacons will mark which of those are currently targetable (possibly multiple) and attacking teams must do the possession game and score to those.

360° technique

A collection of individual dribbling exercises performed in a small area, surrounded by the CogniCone beacons. Players must switch to the next exercise once the lights change. The beacons around must be continuously monitored by the players during the exercise.

Rebounder

A collection of individual exercises with a rebounder or a pail are carried out on a small pitch surrounded by CogniCone beacons. Players must switch to the next exercise once the lights change. The beacons around must be continuously monitored by the players during the exercise.

Four territories

This is a small group game, where formations of 3:1, 4:1, 4:2 etc… play ball possession game. The whole pitch is divided into four territories. CogniCone beacons – placed in the corners of the pitch – will mark which territory the game must be performed in. Attacking teams must move to the marked area and play the possession there until the beacon lights shift.

Continuous passing

Two players play a continuous passing game. One player is inside the area surrounded by the CogniCone beacons, the other is outside. At each pass the light arrangement might change, and if so, the player inside the area must get around the beacon lighting with the designated color.

Passing to goal

One or more players are inside an area surrounded by four small goals. Behind goal is a single CogniCone beacon. The rest of the players who are outside the area are continuously passing balls to the ones inside. The inside players must score the balls into the goals, while keeping up with the pace of the passes.
